ther proper sealant is not silicone, i dont recommend silicone mainly because if it gets in the adjuster it can clog the oil passage preventing it from working, mercedes uses what they call a flange sealer, it is anerobic in nature similar to lock tight,i have some at work i will send you if you want it,but i will be off from work until the 17th of may, the mercedes part number for the sealant is 002-989-00-20, i would sugget you invest in a tube, ther amy be others here who need it, if it is that expensive you guys could pool your money.
