Please, please, please do a search on 'synthetic oil' on this site...and stand back. This happens to be a very, very, very loaded question...basically it depends on the age of your engine (some will argue otherwise), the condition of your engine (again some may argue otherwise), and if you believe that you will gain some benefits from the switch (once again some may argue otherwise). Finally, there is also a debate as too what weight of oil 20-50 10-40 10-30 10-50 5-30(synthetic or other) you should use. Personally I say check your owners manual and use your best judgement.
