One of the first things I did whenwe bought our 380SL was check for this hood feature. No such luck. Now I did notice that there is a clip in the middle of the hinge, that can be removed. The only problem is that with the hood opend normally, the edge of the hood is close to the wipers. So trying to go vertical isn't possible without running into the wipers.
