This is starting to happen in public secondary schools too, thanks in part to No Child Left Behind... but it's not the kids begging for the good grades, it's school administrations. See, if too many bad grades are given, that must mean that the school is failing, and that the teacher isn't teaching. So, teachers are making sure every child succeeds... NCLB is very much like a long game of telephone chain. You say all the right things into the first person's ear, but the last person never gets it right. In telephone chain, it's funny, but in NCLB, you, as the first person, would get fired, because idiots can't listen properly.
What happened to personal responsibility? Hey dumbass- you sleep through your test, you FAIL.
