I know that happens. I was at a Chrysler dealer and thought that was what was up. I told Mrs Botnst what I thought our lowest offer should be and I expected them to counter by $500, which I'd take. Salesman comes back, bingo. Then I told him about my (ragged-assed) LTD trade-in.
