Thanks for the advice, and I also got an email from MB USA confirming that the bulbs are still available and may be ordered through the dealer at $1.70 apiece. That sure beats $400--and even though I think the parts guy at the dealer honestly couldn't find the part number for the bulb alone, I'll see if I can get them to comp me the bulb for my troubles!
