JB weld is nothing more than an epoxy. I've used marine epoxy found at the big box stores for repairs including regluing some brake linings to my disc pads that I had broken off not too long ago while trying to unload the calipers. It's still holding the linings to pads many 1000's of miles later and they look like they'll last until they need replacing.
