No, techguy, that is about the going rate for R12 these days. I just bought 30 pounds for $14.06 per pound. The shops that are charging $100 per pound are simply preying on those who don't know any better. When R12 really was at $45 per pound or so, it was hard to blame someone for using a junk refrigerant, but now the junk refrigerant will most DEFINITELY cost more in the long run, but very little less in the short term.
