All diesels run great on bio.
I don't think it's odd that the car needs GPs, I think those models have an afterglow system that shortens the life of the plugs, which wear out. Perhaps the seller is just pointing out that the car needs new ones. Heck my car needs new glow plugs for that matter. Not an issue at all. In those engines however the plugs can sometimes break off in the head if not removed slowly and carefully.
