Mike, Good advice on changing it if you don't know.
I had my mechanic change my differential fluid and all other fluids, not only for summer prep, but as long as he was rebuilding the tranny, I figured the extra expense while he was in there doing the tranny was worth it. Now I have a starting place. to keep track
