Well, it seems I got all of you beat: I am 61 and bought my 1970 280 SL two years ago after I lost my 78 911 SC in an accident. Not my fault ! I had that car for 12 years. All my life I have owned two seater convertable sportscars, built some of them myself.....Over the past few centuries Road & Track did repeated comparisson tests of four luxury sportscars: Jaguar E-Type, Porsche 911, Corvette Stingray and Mercedes SL. I managed to have owned one of them at one time or another in the course of my life, it was just the SL's turn.....Now I am cruising in style and I still can tinker with it, just like a real sportscar....
I really like that gentlemans way of calculating once "sports car age" In my case it
would go like this: my age: 61, my cars age: 35, that makes me: 26! Now if I could trade ages with my car, that would be something.....
CHEERS !
WITT !
