We made the mistake of going camping on the west coast a few years ago. It was about 45°F in July. Brr... We had planned to make pizza, but the dough wouldn't rise because it was so cold. So, we put it in a pot and put it under the hood of our Volvo. It worked great! An hour later, the dough had risen, and we could make the pizzas.
The engine compartment was clean, and the food was well sealed, so there were no unusual flavours.
