I had the same problem with my 85 16V. I had to change the master clutch cyclinder, the slave cylinder, the hose that connects from the brake reservior to the slave cylinder. After that I still had the same problem with the clutch not popping back up. Bleeding the system again. Now for the pass month, I did not have this problem. Total Cost was about $400. I had my mechanic do the job. But it could of been done cheaper if you bought the parts at the and DIY. I didn't have the time.
