The wiring inside throttle actuator does have the same problem - biodegradable insulation. Another costly component, but one that should be fairly easy to replace.

I believe you can get them refurbished - mine's been suspect for a while, it's the only consistent code the car gives once the CEL comes on... I wanted to pull mine off for cleaning to see if that would help... if only I could figure out how.
