My 617s shifts ~4600 every gear...

The dyno I have from a member on here of the HP on a 617 it's pretty flat from 3800-4800.
As I recollect from vehicles with a TV/Bowden cable, the cable is there for part throttle shift points and line rise. But max shift points are set by an internal governor correct? At least on Ford AODs and GM 700R4s I've played with are like this.
Perhaps I'll go for a drive shortly...
