Thanks guys....I am trying the stuff from Home Depot....It is the insulation for home a/c lines. I'm not sure how long it will hold up in the heat under my hood, but it was only about $4.50 and I've got enough left over for next time.

I think that it may have helped my a/c cool a few degrees colder....I keep a thermometer in the center vent and probably watch it way more than I should.
