in the era of the 123

mb sold 80% diesel. so not many gassers around. 250s with carb. 280s with carb. a few 230s with carb. prob a few 230s with stick early on. later 280es. the later cars none had sticks with gas in us. all above comments regard us models. in europe most were sticks i think. they are sweet with sticks. i had a 123 euro 280e with fiver. it had a 3.69 rear end which was not usual. the 3.54 was usual i think. i got 23ish on hiway, 17ish in town. sweet car though. they shift very well. i would stay away from carb cars personally. unless they have weber conversions.
