My W116 sticker has almost peeled off as well. Its only half there and flapping in the breeze. I took it off for now and pasted it in my manual.
But it reads 1.0 kg of R-12. Mine is an '80 with an R4 compressor.
Again, many thanks for your help with the transmission. I have it moving and shifting as far and second gear. I fixed my brakes- now the water pump ist kaput. I'll be on that this weekend and hope to test it more thoroughly.
