I would buy or borrow a remote starter switch,any large auto parts store should have one. Then hook it up to the starter and try starting the engine with it. (key in run position ,car out of gear parking brake set) if it starts with the remote switch then the problem is in the ignition switch ,a relay or the wireing between these and the starter...A remote switch is a handy tool to have at hand for turning engine over from under the hood such as in valve adjustments ect.....
