I am crazy so I tried the Acetone in my 500 SEL and It didn't make any difference I could see. I believe that if it helped some cars it was because acetone is a good cleaner and it cleaned the fuel system so the mileage went up. My 500 didn't need to be cleaned up so no difference. It didn't hurt anything as I could tell as the car still runs great.
