The following products have been recommended in this forum and others:
1. 3M-#08984,general purpose adhesive cleaner,1 US quart
2. 3M-#08987,adhesive remover,aerosol
3. 3M-#08090,super trim adhesive,aerosol,yellow
Don't make the mistake of using adhesive product #08060,the cans are identical, but it will peel off because of under-the-hood heat. This can be fixed by re-gluing with #08090.

Also,you may want to buy some new attaching plugs from your MB dealer.Old ones do break/collapse when you remove them.
