On the 1983 240D the rear seat are MB- Tex, but I belive that the middle section where the arm rest is and the outsides of the bench are real leather. The part which I belive is real leather has faded to a different color than the rest of the bench. As I was pondering on how to solve this problem a thought had arouse to me. Is it feasible to use shoe polish on the seat to restore some color to them. In my mind it seemed as though it would work. I use brown she polish on my leather shoes to restore the color to them when they are in need of brightening. I wanted the response of more seasoned Mercedes owners on this idea.
