Even if he pursues it, the defense is quite strong. The teen simply feared that the man was going to kill him with his vehicle and decided to prevent further injury to himself by punching the perpetrator in the face.
Clearly, the teen attempted to run from the perpetrator with no success.
Not guilty.

I agree with your assesment....the teen did try to flee and only attacked the guy after he was cornered...only in a **** state would someone expect the victim to submit to an assault.
