So far it worked and the spring actually seats better than before. I have attached a picture from the WIS http://mb.braingears.com/124_DISC2/Program/Chassis/
, job 32-0200.pdf. The end of the spring is marked by an arrow. The "gap" I am talking of would be indicated by the green bar. Before, I positioned the end of the spring where the arrowhead is. I am not sure anyone besides me would do the same mistake.
