I almost installed a Wix oil filter today that came with my car purchase, until the O-ring that came with it didn't fit inside of my oil housing cover
plus the Wix filter also was designed slightly different than all the other OEM brands (it didn't have that 3/4 metal part on the upper half of the filter).
Long story short, I installed the Hengst filter and the O-ring that fit and everything is great
I like the German OEM for my MB
