I've often wondered if the CIA has a process to evaluate the accuracy of its processes. We have tens of thousands of analysts pouring over open and closed intelligence sources and writing reports and most of the time the public has no idea what these reports say because the vast majority of the analysis is not in the public domain. At least when the government spends 80 cents of every dollar on administrative overhead in the welfare system we can see how bad things are - I shudder to think what we are getting for our $$$$ when nobody (excpept other bureacrats) are evaluating the quality and costs of CIA analysis.

Mr Tenet said WMD in Iraq were a "slam dunk" - I wonder what other current policy decisions are being guided by CIA "intelligence"
