So, many when Beach Benz pulled off my intake, they changed all 6 clear fuel lines, shutoff vavle, and a few other parts. Now after costing me all of this money, and back in Phoenix- I have a new leak. One of these new parts are leaking. Because of the extreme close proximity to using B100 and my fuel leak - I am extremely gun shy about putting this in my car again. from all the post I have read- I assumed that the 97 E300 would have seals that would not get trashed by Bio Diesel. With the 96-99 Diesels- I would think using Bio-diesel is just asking for the same night mare? Am I correct? The Germans made a over complex F#$$ing mess out of the fuel delivery to the injectors. I work on complex semi conductor systems that use metal seals on toxic gasses- and they never leak. If you look at this mess on these cars- it looks like they are designing potential failures into these cars. If anyone could respond to using bio diesel on 96-98 E300 -please let me know if they have similar experience. Thanks Bill

B100 is almost like a solvent just run B20 and you should have no problems

MeOH prices....
Searching for methanol supply, I have found that the prices (East Coast) might indicate suppliers are either 1. VERY proud of their product or 2. Guessing that the average guy who calls and says, "I'd like to buy a 55 gal. drum..." doesn't shop for best price deals.
Quotes range from $2.00 to $7.00 (5 different companies in NC-at the loading dock) I have read lots on methanex, in awful detail, and 07 March 2007 the price given per gallon** based on 332.6 gallons per metric ton** is $1.55. I'm sure someone has hazmat permits, etc. BUT the drum is easier to handle plus you get a really cool drum when it's empty.. SO what I propose is something like www.gasbuddy.com maybe here in this thread, where we bio brewers can share price info quickly and easily, and of course lye price info as well.

biodiesel 210
i have been useing biodiesel for many years in an E300D with no fuel related problems at all.. untill they [government] changed the fuel to USLD.
the biodiesel swells orings and the new low sulfur, low aromatic fuel hardens and shrinks and cracks the old orings. once they are replaced you should have no problems. they will absorb the new fuel and not be shocked from rapid changes. At this age the w210s need new lines and rings anyway. 10 years is enough for a small piece of rubber. change to viton will last forever; will not absorb any chemical, new or old. this week i'm running b100 soy. next week b99 cotton seed. Thank you to all of my friends (in archive) on this forum that saved me time and many dollars on my 1st fuel related problem.

Run WVO with no modifications to your car??
Has anyone tried this "Diesel Secret" product? Someone sent me the link and it says that you can just add this stuff to the filtered waste oil (WVO) and it will be ready to use in your car. No need to change fuel lines or any other modifications. Sounds a bit too good to be true. I am thinking of trying it, but I am a bit reluctant. Has anyone had any experience with this product or know of someone that has? Any feedback or thoughts about it would be appreciated. Thanks. The link is:

I bit
I tried it, and it worked, kind of.
DSE is simple WVO fuel blending, but they try to simplify it too much. There system/process has too many short cuts and trys to get everything done too quickly. You can get good information elsewhere on how to do a WVO blend, as I do, but you do not need the Diesel Secret. If you do a search on my screen name you will see where I have posted my process. If you can't find it, I can PM it to you, if you want.

Food service warmer cart,to be filtering setup
My idea is in motion to make a 3x6 food service cart into my shop mobile filtering setup ,the tray assembly will come down to make room for the four 30 gal barrels ,filtering and dewatering in sequence.The heaters that were used to heat the service trays will now have a purpose in the barrel hanging from the lid for dewatering,the heater even has a nice timer on it.On the cart is built a sneeze guard which Ill attach a shop light from the top and run any additional componetry from it.All stainless and easy to keep clean.

Biodiesel in San Antonio
Hey guys
Anybody using biodiesel in San Antonio? Where do you buy it from ? I recently bought a 1982 300D (my first MB) and want to run it on bio diesel. any suggestions ? tips ?
