who is using PEX for their HIH hose inside hose applications?

I've gotten a few responses about PEX but when I start researching PEX I come up with temp ratings that are a little low. about 200'F is max and suggested working temps for PEX is only about 140'F.

That seems to suggest the PEX is barely adequate, and maybe not even that.

The engine coolant can reach temps close to 250'F and normal coolant temps are around 180-200'F.

Who has long term success with PEX in a HIH application?

What about copper tubing? Anyone ever have a failure with copper?

The SVO guys there really know there stuff, and there is a little cross traffic between here and there. But they are SVO specialists, so you may get better info than you would here.

If you are looking for opinions, I suggest not bothering with hose-in-hose. There is very little heat transfer that happens, partly because there is not much surface area to transfer heat, and because you are talking about plastic, a good insulator. Just run a regular fuel line, and insulate it if you are heating the tank, or buy/build a heat exchanger that heats your oil before plumbing into the injection pump.
