Good for Willie. That would be about 65 miles from here, but I might just run down there tomorrow and fuel up.

Paul,
If you fueling the 123, I'd mix w/diesel so that I didn't have more than 20-30% concentration of B100 in it. Methyl ester based rubber degradaton issues.

Their concerns have been addressed, protectionism is in place. EPA enforces control.

Well, I am reminded of the old saying "Choose your battles wisely."
If one is simply concerned about their "savings," if the extra money on alternative energy would truly make a difference in the ability to feed the family; and the politics of petroleum and environments take a backseat to that, then spending more for fuel to make an individual, political choice with your purchasing power will continue to make little sense.
Those of us that feel a measure of responsibility with our choices in the marketplace may appear as "goofballs" to a larger society who is overtly concerned only with the amount of money they save, so be it.
The individualistic concerns mirror that of global economics. They are understandable. We recognize that the government will only concern itself with profit; gone are the days of environmentally responsible regulations. It will only transpire on a grassroots, individual level. And it ain't gonna be cheap. But neither is environmental degradation. Neither is war.
We are it. Choose your battles wisely.

Randy

They only sell B20. The candidate would be the 300D which has a clean fuel system. Of course it would be out of the question on the 240D until I can overcome the fuel cooties problem. If it works out in the 300D, I might try it in the Zoozoo, although that filter would be a pita to change on the side of the road.

I think the biggest problem was that the biodiesel producers / wholesalers in this area dried up. There are still a few places selling bio diesel around here, but nothing like a few years ago. The craze has definitely subsided.

There seems to be some angst against Bio diesel. Seems so natural to grow your own fuel. The production of beans one year puts nitrogen in the soil to help corn yields the next.
