power source for electric WVO pump?
I just added an electric fuel pump to my WVO set up...
What are y'all using as a power source for elec fuel pumps? right now the power wire is just running through the interior, over the seats and too the dash. I tapped into the cigarette lighter for power. I would like to use a power source in the rear of the car.

I think the trunk light has power all the time. You'd have to add a switch, and still run wires to your dash. When I wire these systems up, I fuse it all separately, to minimize problems with the original wiring.

I need a power source that has constant 12v power only when the ignition key is on.

There is an ignition switch powered wire that hooks up to the radio, but your asking for trouble if you use an existing power source without running it through a relay and fuse

I found a good source...
I tapped into the rear defroster circuit. It is a 20 or 25 amp circuit. On the wagons it was right above the tailgate. I removed the trim panel that holds the rear dome light. There was a nice terminal block with several wires. I found the main power wire and just used a crimp conector with the round "O" on the end and screwed it to the terminal block. I ran the wire along the roof and down behind the right rear pillar trim and into the first aid kit compartment, slid the wire out thru the fuel tank filler tube gasket and out to the pump. I have a 10 amp fuse holder and toggle switch in the first aid compartment for easy access. I can replace the fuse in 30 seconds. If I'm out of WVO I can turn off the pump and the OEM tank feeds diesel thru the unheated OEM fuel line by default. Turn the pump back on for WVO blends and the HIH fuel line is now primary fuel line again again.
