Blackberries or Trailing Vine Dewberries ?
Since you are being tutored on this particular subject you are supposed to be using the correct nomenclature....

Well, I'd say trailing vine dewberries since they look a lot like those that are over by your old white 280. However, James' wife claimed that they were blackberries. Most of the bushes don't stand up with the big heavy cane like your Brazosberries do. There are a couple of clumps out in the back of one pasture that are a big, upright plant like the Brazosberries.

James is my old best friend (since Jr High school)..his bride is pretty smart but he's afflicted with MAS (male answer syndrome).
