Best choice for WVO

Hi All,

I tried searching but search is not working, at least not right now. I am thinking of selling my C230 and picking up a diesel, because I have a good supply of high quality WVO. Are there and recommended models that I could get for around 4K?

Thanks,

Mike

Come down to Vancouver and I'll sell you my '85 300D with the WVO conversion already done for $5K.

..I've had very good luck with WVO in my '84, and '82 300D's and the '83 300SD (same engine, of course). They've all run very well on WVO - no fuel related issues at all (assuming, of course, that you filter the WVO well before you put it in the tank!). The SD just left with a new owner - headed for Nebraska as I've gone to the dark side and bought a 2005 Passat TDI...feels like a golf cart after the SD!

The 617 turbo engine is said to be one of; if not THE BEST", engine out there to run on Veg fuels. It's prechamber design loves the vegy stuff. So about anything with a 617 turbo will be your best bet.

Agree about the 617. I use straight wvo without a kit and it runs great.

So would that be 81-85 300SD? That 87 in the previous post looks nice, but all the way in NC.

Is tha a good price for that 87? Obviously there is mark up for the WVO conversion. I'm thinking I'd like to run a dual system though.
