rug or kero??

I see some people are blending wvo with rug, acetone and conditoner. Has anyone tried blending with good old Kerosene? Kero is cheaper then all those additives. When you buy diesel in the winter months, all that is done to lower the gelling point, is they add kreo. Diesel rated to zero degrees is a 25% blend, -20 degrees is a 50% blend and -40 diesel is straight kero. Kero should solve the wax problem with no other additives. Regular old kero has sulfer in it, that gives combustion a little kick. I think that is why some of you see an increase in power on wvo. Moderen diesel is doctered down for the tree huggers. They take all the good stuff out. If you doubt me go to your local farmer and get some off-road diesel aka #2 fuel oil or home heating oil. A marina should have it to for the sailboats. I would be fibbing if I said I haven't done it in my own car. Your power will go up so will your mpg.

Hey Matt;
I was referring to California's SD...
Yours I saw too and it is great looking too.....Very clean....
Dawgs pics were too small but look nice ...etc.
My 300D needs work (rust repair and paintto look that nice; and it's too hot here to do it untl late in the yr.
AA
and right now everything is running fine; I went out today looking for 2nd source of WVO and it's incedible how many rest's fry in hydrogenated oil!
I found a great sushi rest. but he has to think about it!
They seem to be great sources since they usually fry only Tempuras and some fish...no meats! = clean WVO

one of those things you walk on. Creates static electricty. You wire this to the glow plugs. Ads a little additional heating in the combustion chamber

The Diesel here in California WILL DROP THE WAX OUT
People all over are mixing WVO with petro diesel in all sorts of ratios without consequence and some people are having the wax problem. The guy "warhorse" on the biodiesel message board that had the horrible wax problem was in california. Is anyone here NOT in california that has seen wax from dinoD/WVO blends?

I recommend to the original poster just start with putting a gallon or two into a full tank of dinoD. It can even be virgin store bought oil to start with. You will see that things work out pretty good and you will get the bug.
I have been mixing WVO up to as much as 90% with a little dinoD or Kerosene all summer with no problems.

RUG = Regular Unleaded Gasoline?

Is that accurate? I have an '85 300SD and I've been wondering about the WVO as fuel. I'm in Phoenix so the gelling issue might not be an issue at all. Lowest, lowest it ever gets is 35-40 f..and that's very rare. But I don't really want to go through the whole 2 tank system, heater, etc.

Can you mix WVO with regular diesel? And are there any issues with RUG and WVO? I do have access to Biodiesel out here but it's B100. Can you mix biodiesel with WVO? Unfortunately, I'm in an apartment after selling my house but at $2.75 per gallon for dinodiesel, I'm willing to look at WVO.

Any guidance would be much appreciated. I'd also hope for less smoke with WVO. Is that true?

[QUOTE=Austin85]Chris; Much better. Nice rides...Is the color green?/QUOTE]

Nope, both Dk Gray, Roommate's '91 350SDL w/gray interior and mine with Tan. I am sure I will be corrected on the colors

Nothing like a pair of matching W126's in the drive!
