One reason this country is one of the best is because the Gov. recognize that power production (transport, electrical etc etc) is a HUGE KEY to success. Our gov. has had the balls to have fought for that politically and militarily and will continue to do so. Every country that has NOT, has failed or is failing and their people are starving, and rebelling etc. If we had not fought for it we would look like Mexico or worse Afganistan and you would not own a computer much less be able to afford your favorite MB.

Yeah.... it is an UGLY reality but thats just how it is. Now.... do I wish we fought for power production in ways that include lots of research and new fuels...... you bet I do! but I also thank those who have had the gonads to keep the US supplied with power (also reasonably cheap when compared to the rest of the world)

Rant off- my last words. sorry for stumping out some reality

Give me a break. This country didn't become great with HUGE corporate give-aways, but it will bring it down. If we can't start working for alternatives and command our own future, we will be OWNED by China and the Middle East.

Shouldn't this all be in the OD section? I haven't seen anything about WVO in at least a few pages.

So like I got this email letter from the President of a Oil reclamation company,...but who gives a S@#$....I'm gonna go dive for WVO in his dumpsters and delete his email, and drive my smoke silver 300D to harbour freight and buy a pump for my garage and some 1" tubing...
If you want to by shares of Austin Oil pm me. (-:

Nope, we should just end the hijack and get back on topic.

I'm actually considering converting at least one of my cars to WVO... If fuel prices continue to rise at the rate that they have been, than in a few months it will be at a point where it makes financial sense for me to do a conversion.

There's also no shortage of restaurants in the Atlanta area who would LOVE for someone to come remove their waste cooking oil for free.

I agree. We did NOT become one of the leading nations in the world by govt. giveaways. We became great from an excise tax on all imported goods. This tax was up to 25 - 30 % at times. In fact this made so much revenue that there was no need for income tax or the IRS. It also led to the civil war but that's another story.

We need to get rid of the trade deficit and get this country back on track. Ronald Reagan never would have put up with the crap that's going on now, the last of the great presidents.

That's absolutely not true. Look at China. Perfrct example. They use just as much oil as we do. Are they as dependent on the Middle East as we are? Of course not. They are spending billions on their infrastructure. They build refineries. Have a closed market that heavily taxes OUR goods while we let them flood our markets for NOTHING.
Another reason for higher prices. They are sucking up all materials from the world market.

Sorry, end of rant.

Sounds good to me. I've been collecting WVO for a year and a half now, and storing it. I just completed my 2nd batch of home-made biodiesel, and the 240D loves it. For me the best approach to getting oil is working with individual restaurants who have to pay to have it hauled away. Then just get the oil drained from the fryer, and don't let it get outside -- dewatering has got to be the biggest hassle in the whole process.

on topic

am I right that california sends you a check in the mail if you drive a hibrid car based on the fact that hibrids create less harmfull emissions per mile.and is it correct to assume that wvo burning cars create even less maby the check's in the mail.
