Source for SVO (Straight Vegetable Oil)

Anyone know of a good place to buy bulk containers of straight vegetable oil? I remember one guy on this site said he was buying 5 gallon containers of sesame or soybean oil from a restaurant distributor for somewhere around $1.51 per gallon. Maybe I am wrong.

Any info would be appreciated.

Danny,

Thanks for the link. Unfortunately I don't have a Winn Dixie near me. Anyone knowa restaurant distributor in the Philadelphia area?

PM the benz bar. He lives over that way too. He may be out of town as he hasn't posted for the last week or so.

Cheers,

Bill

Why do you want to pay for SVO when you can get WVO for free if you just filter it????
Anywayzz some one posted here that he found a bulk seller on the web, on his corn oil link....didn't have prices htough.
another gets it from ordering from a local restaurant with their order....

Last I checked a week ago Costco was somewhere around $2.70/ gal for five gal cubbies.

I noticed it had citric acid in it for a preservative. I'm not sure if thats a problem or not. Didn't sound good to me though.

Maybe throw a little Hypericum in the tank for those cloudy days.
