My question is can that wvo be ran in minn.?gets cold up here!!!
How do you make it? I have a 81 300 SD Is this a good motor to try it on?
How about just in the summer that sounds easier!!! Do you need seperate tanks if you only run it in the summer?

Not unless you have a good heated two-tank system, even in the summer. Your engine is one of the best to run on WVO, but make sure you purge and don't start it on cold oil. Even in the summer.

In the summer months you can mix good WVO with diesel up to 50/50 with no problems.

Get a proper setup and you can run vo at any temp diesel runs at.
No need to heat the whole oil tank...just the pickup and heat as you use.

your injection pump will love you if you use biodiesel.. just watch out for gelling at certain temps

Dana is from MN and he is considered one of the guru's of WVO. Lot of that I am sure is cause he figured out how to make it work in MN winters.

Yes WVO can be run in MN. Where you get it is probably the most important part of running it in your M-B. The cleaner the better. Stay away from hydrogenated oil. Best to get oil from place that frys no meats. ie: chips; vegetables; seafoods.

After you read up on this stuff then start asking specific questions....At first it's not easy to start up...but it's worth it for the smell of veggies in the morning.

20% rug will keep vo thin down to 20f no lie! i do it when i go to the snow in my sd. if i dont wanna wait for the heat exchange to heat up to switch.
