96 E300D and WVO
 

This question has probably been answered before but, I am looking to buy a 96 E300D. I would like to add a WVO system, Greasel, Frybid, etc. Will this car run properly and safely without modication with these systems and does anyone have any experience with this engine currently running on WVO?

You should go ask around the greasecar forum. Here its like 10 people run on wvo 5 people run on bio-diesel and the rest are just against wvo all together and still run on nasty petro!

But yes those cars properly kitted will run on wvo no problem. like 5 people on the greasecar forum kitted their E300's with the greasecar kit and they said whe you switch to wvo the engine is silent and sounds like a gas engine and no power loss. Someone ran a 50/50mix of wvo and diesel in a 97 E300 and ran just fine.

The greasecar kit is the best in quality, efficency, and price. The frybrid is more advanced than the greasecar kit but you pay more for the technology in the frybrid kit and frybrids customer service sucks!! I would suggest a greasecar kit with a electric heater (vegtherm) from plantdrive.com and you got the perfect system and can switch on wvo in less then 2 minutes!!!!

It's still mechanically and indirectly injected, so it shouldn't be any different from the older MB diesels for this.

I keep thinking about greasing mine, but alas, it probably won't happen. Getting the used oil is too much of a hassle for me to consider, and there's not much to be said for burning new oil. More oil for you guys, I guess!
