300sd Died On Wvo Blend Today???

The wife went to Costco with the Benz(its her car now, she claimed it:P ). She calls me up & says the car starts thens stalls! Ok i'll be right there. I pop the hood & see a leak on the spin on fuel filter housing. Sure enough its the large "O" ring on the banjo bolt. So we cruise down to harbor freight & pick up a O ring kit in the HOT ROD DODGE CUMMINS( 14.7 in 1/4mile..:D ).. Total 20 mins. down time & 7 bucks later shes back on the road!! In realty it had NOTHING TO DO WITH WVO!!!!!! The "O" ring was very hard & flat from OLD AGE!!
Check your "O" rings on the banjo bolt they WILL CAUSE AIR LEAKS in our fuel systems. Diesel or WVO. I hope this helps..

Where's the o-ring and where's the banjo bolt. Ithought that was unrelated to the filter. Are there more than one???

he is talking about the bolt that you would unscrew if you are replacing the fuel filter. if you pull that bolt out and look at it you should see a black O ring. i will check mine tomorrow.

Its proper name is a Union bolt. I think a southerner took offense and called it a banjo bolt in protest.
