i think your problem is your cetane boost from using wvo. Sometimes that cetane just kicks in makes the car so fast that the gforce unscrews the glove box door. You may want to use dino diesel because it will stop the fastness!

Exclamation

OK... I cut back on the cetane boost, dewattered the WVO by purchasing a new Sears hot water heater, and heating my oil to 245 F. ; tightened my copper washer under the banjo bolt on my Autozone secondary fuel filter...and the glove box is OK now.
It was probably just stuck.
But now that orange plastic cover over my positive battery teminal keeps popping up! WHAT'S WITH THIS WVO THING?!!!

Yeah, but he dumped that in his fuel tank too.

.. I think he has gotten some bad advice.

if you notice in his sig, he has an '81 sd. Up until '83, the sd did not come equipped with a positive cabin ventilation system. So the fouled up seat that the car needs, assuming bad springs, is causing vacuum in the interior cabin due to the collapsed volume of the seat.

this is why the glovebox will not stay closed.. Your PCV system needs to be updated, or your seatsprings replaced.

duh

The wonderful art of sarcasm is lost on some......but seriously I think it has something to do with your headlamp fluid being low, either that or your carburator swashplate is worn out.

Didn't Dr. Diesel design his car's glove box hinges to be lubricated by vegetable oil?

Your all wrong. If check other threads, you'll see where he removed his rack limiter, increased his injector pop, plugged his EGR system, screwed back his ALDA, removed the wastegate from his VNT and tweaked the bypass spring on his lift pump.

The glove box is full of traffic tickets for burnouts and speeding. If he romoves them, the glove box will close fine.

I believe it was Peanut Oil. Vegetable oil loses it's ability to lubricate the glove box hinges unless properly breaded.

Bet it was a single-tank system.
