(I use 3.5g/L base + 1 per point of titration, then convert to KOH. I dry wash with magnesol so I try to minimize soap production.) www.fryerpower.com

Just ordered Viton O-Rings
I went ahead an bit the bullet on the o-rings. I bought a 25 pack of each. I'll have them up on my website, www.fryerpower.com, next week.
I also bought a 10 pack of 36mm ID 3mm thickness viton o-rings. Maybe they are the right size. -Jim

I use the 1 micron absolute filter I sell on my site as the final filter.

3/27 test?
While i doubt BD quality is the issue, do you do the 3/27 test after processing? Take 3ml dried bio, mix with 27ml methanol. It should completely dissolve almost instantly, and leave a perfectly clear fluid (maybe slightly colored, but clear.) If any beads of oil settle out within the next hour or so, you haven't quite processed all the WVO. Like I said, this really shouldn't be your problem; any unreacted BD should just burn like WVO; but its always nice to check.

Like I said in the earlier post, the only power loss I had was due to the 220,000 miles worth of junk from the dino diesel that built up in my tank coming loose and clogging the filters. That has nothing to do with the ability of biodiesel to burn and make power. It simply means that if the filters/screens are clogged you can't get fuel to the engine. If you can't get fuel to the engine you "loose power."
That said, I started putting Startron Tank cleaner in a couple of months ago and have not had to change a filter since then. Either it worked or I started adding it when the tank just happened to finally get clean. -Jim

I have an 87 300SDL that I was running commercial B100 in for a few tanks and the performance continually got worse, even after changing filters. I get mine out at the beach and brought 5 gallon cans back to fill up between beach visits. Long story short, I ran out of BD and had to fill the tank with Dino Diesel and noticed a remarkable improvement in performance. I am able to run B20 without any ill effects on performance. I could run my 82 300SD with B100 no problem. I'll be interested in hearing what happens.
