In talking with another Wisconsin WVO MB darksider, he mentioned he has an add-on fuel filter and this is his purge & start up volume of diesel fuel. He installed a fuel pump upstream from this filter to fill it with diesel via a dash mounted switch. This switch resets after turning off ign. Filter is in series & upstream from MB filters. On startup, this volume of diesel fuels the engine for X time. He has a two gallon diesel tank under the hood and claims with his driving habits (50 mile each way, 5 days / week) two gallons diesel / week is plenty. Nozzel return lines operate as normal. Also, he blends biodiesel in the main tank per weather conditions. I believe there must be a check valve to avoid pumping diesel into the main tank.
