WVO IP Failure?

1984 300D Getting air in diesel and wvo. Thought it was the pollack valves. Installed new Greasecar valves all new fuel lines. Still air, after reading thru the threads ordered a new primer pump, should be here in the A.M.. Just to be a step ahead of myself is it possible for the IP to be seeping air? I hope not!!! Any thoughts??? thanx Jimmy

I would say the best thing to do would be to return it to the stock setup and see if you are having the same problem. If not, there is something wrong with your setup.

A friend has the greasecar kit and he had one of their approved installers muck with it for 2 weeks! before they got it to sorta run. The problem sorted itself out as there was just a lot of air in the lines...we presume.

Is an electric lift pump installed?

what kind of fuel line clamps are you using? the worm gear ones are not very good. get fuel injection clamps, they only cost a few cents more per. also, diesels vibrate a lot. retighten everything. any teflon tape involved? not the best, either. i use pipe dope. no, the kind for plumbing

I have never heard of an IP sucking air. leaking fuel, yes, but not sucking air.
