German car maker BMW is going to build a hydrogen-fueled car next year. The number of the new version in the 7 series will not exceed 100 and they will be given only to selected individuals. About 25 to 30 cars will be available in the U.S., mainly in California and Washington D.C. The Hydrogen 7 will be powered by a 12-cylinder engine with 260 horsepower,
and the driver will be able to switch from normal to hydrogen fueling. In Oxford, England, BMW is investing about £200 million in the former Rover Cowley Mini plant. This investment will secure the existing 4,500 jobs there and create 450 new ones.
