Is it just too hard to get West from DC? Do you prefer the mtn scenery?
At 95 , I go 26 to columbia sc then north to charlotte and onto pittsburg pa.
95 going north at this time of the year with all the people heading home from fl. the traffic is horrendous , always found it better to go the mountain rt. (better fuel mileage I'm beginning to find out)

I see. I am not a big fan of Charlotte.. but I have heard that it's not too hard to find bio-diesel there if you arrange something before hand. Make sure you ask for a price. I have also seen people selling B100 for more than the price of Dino, AND requiring a membership.

Fell off the WVO bandwagon when people started trying to charge $2.50 a gallon for dirty vegetable oil.

I'd say that it was running a little hotter climbing the hills (diesels are more efficient at high temps) and the coasting down hill.

Mileage figures are in

The trip to Florida on biodiesel was a blast, the 240D ran flawless. A little buzzy, but overall very comfortable and dependable. The first 2050 miles were on 100% home brewed Biodiesel and the latter 650 was on commercial bought b20 . Would have been great to do the whole trip on my home brew , but couldn't carry any more. Mileage for the trip averaged 27.1mpg overall with a low of 24.3 to a high of 29.8mpg. The car only used 1/2 a quart of Rottella synthetic 5W- 40 This July, in the 300D, the mountains of Vermont, New Hampshire to the shore of Bar Harbor , Maine then back home. Total trip should be about 2000 miles ,all on home brew Bio and WVO.
