Questions about gauges for WVO conversion.
I am working on my first conversion to WVO. I made my own bio-diesel for 2 summers in a great 50 gallon system that I built but I want to move on to WVO. My vehicle is a ’84 190D 2.2L with a 5 speed. I am currently looking for fuel pressure and temperature gauges. Does anyone have suggestions for these? I want to put the pressure gauge between the lift pump and the injector pump. What pressure range should I be looking at.
Thanks for any help you can offer…. Daniel in Nyack, NY |

I bought all my gauges (for two car projects now) from Summit Racing. All AutoMeter, all still working fine.
I think instead of a fuel pressure gauge, what you want is a vacuum gauge. I use one to know when my fuel filters are clogging up and the lift pump is having to work too hard to suck fuel from the tanks. Also consider an additional fuel level gauge for the second tank -- presuming you are doing a proper conversion. Cheers, John
