Washington State WVO R U Legal Post ... ???

.

To the Webmaster from RichC

Locking the post has pissed a lot of people off !!!

You are making it where the people who cause problems on this forum win if you do this !!!

Start an alternative fuels forum section.
Give warnings to individual users.
Enforce posting rules.

But, Do not completely censor what people have to say.
That is the purpose of an internet forum !!!

Get pissed at me because I had the balls to tell you.
Get pissed at Alternative Fuels.
Get pissed at obnoxious users.

Then use that energy to do something about the problem.

To Everyone who knows me.
I love you all.

If I get permanently banned for this.
Remember I am just trying to do the right thing no matter what !
And follow my lead.

Love you all !!
Have Fun !!
RichC

Hey, it's okay. I actually just got off the phone with bluebird, and it turns out he actually wanted it locked down.

On the other hand, an alternative fuel sub-forum would be an interesting idea. Those who hate it could just not ever go there. Right? Brilliant!

I do vote for a separate page for WVO questions... not that I want to throw all the veggie-ers out, but simply to keep things sort of organized... just like we have a separate forum for audio, tires, everything else... why not put alternate fuels in its own category?

IMHO this would facilitate an easier way for veggie people to ask veggie questions without getting the five or ten "you ought to be burning dino and you wouldn't have this problem" responses... and would also allow diesel fuel related discussion that didn't prompt the five or ten "You ought to be saving the world" posts.

I don't want to throw anybody out, I just want to relegate alternative fuel to a place where it can be treated fairly.

Thank you all

I want the thread locked as I felt it was getting Off Track and was HiJacked by a couple of individuals. I never intended to start a debate about WVO all I wanted was volunteers for the cause of leaglizing WVO.
I do thank you for your understanding I just wish I had more volunteers who were willing to testify.

I too, think an alternative fuel thread would be an assett to this forum. I sometimes read other forums (WVO and bio) for specific info but consider this forum to be home -- the one I read every day because IT'S TOPS. I would be hard put to own and drive an old MB without all of the superb help that I get right here. But ---- the primary reason that I bought this MB is to run it on biodiesel. 11K miles and going strong. Keeping it in top running condition requires a lot more knowledge than I could hope to glean from other forums. Sometimes I even have some advice to share with the rookies. I do find the banter about alternative fuels entertaining and thought provoking, but again, I'm here for sharing information - not name calling. If another thread could be spun off, an alternative fuel one, then I consider that an excellent forum would be even better. And the naysayers could look the other way. My $0.02 worth.

That's a good link.

I think I have a few ideas for you. I'll share them when you're back, and ready to tackle this stuff full-time.

Maybe you should have gotten your facts together before posting this.

Brian Carlton, the Diesel Discussion Moderator, was traveling and had limited internet access when this thread was active. I was receiving PM's complaining about this WVO thread and it was also being reported as objectionable. I was asked to lock the thread which I did. I also alerted Brian so he could review the situation on his return.

Rich, this could have been done via PM..........it doesn't need a separate thread for complaints.

When a thread deteriorates to the point where there are two protagonists and very little progress toward providing further insight and information to others, the thread is usually locked.

The actions by the Webmaster are identical to what I would have done if I was on the board.

If you wish to further discuss the WVO situation, you're free to start another thread regarding same.

I agree too. We need a separate WVO forum.

What ever happened to if you don't want to read or post on a BioD or WVO thread that is on the Diesel Forum ( Because only Diesels run on the stuff.)

Then "don't open it up and don't read it".

It is a diesel related topic whether some choose to not use it or to use it.

FWIW: I am looking for a BioD lplace in South Florida if anyone knows one.

So far I can't find any, so I am thinking about learning to do it myself.

This does NOT belong on OD.
