Road trip! Looking for WVO sources - Will buy
My son will be driving this summer from North Carolina to Wisconsin. He will carry as much in his trunk as he can, but will need some along to the way to keep the totes full. Especially Milwaukee. He is trying to do the whole trip on WVO.
He is willing to buy filtered oil from you. He will have a filter and pump along for good measure. Anyone out there have some oil they will be willing to sell? Looking for areas in WV, OH, IN, IL and WI. Should make a great travel log while he does it. |
Plenty of Diesel stations along the way to do the trip legally....

I knew you would show your head here. Go away And no we are not doing this to get around legalities. But can we PLEASE stay on topic here???? good grief |
Have plenty of WVO dewatered and filtered down to 2 micron for sale for $1.75 at our local Co-op group in Chicago. We also have forms and instructions for you to remit your road taxes since we do not collect those.
I will PM you with contact info. |
I know a guy in the dells that may be able to help........ PM's............
plus it aint no fun to be legal all the time.....:0 |
I'm in Shawano and I have a friend in Gresham, both of us use WVO and would be happy to help if he comes up this far.

I would like to thank all of those positive responses. I also thank you for the astounding number of private messages.
With all of your help, I am sure that my son will have a great trip. Nice to know there are friendly people out there. This ought to be a trip of a lifetime for an 18 year old. It is a trip further experimenting with alternative fuels. My son and I have a total of 20,000 miles on WVO. We are ready to take trips much further out now. To make a point, we do WVO so we dont pay Ahab the Arab. Heck if I could find a local farmer that would sell Soybean or Canola oil direct, I could pay him more than he sells it on the market. We dont do it to get around the taxes. As one person in Illinois stated, they have the forms to fill out for taxes, and we will be happy to take care of that issue. Plus if there is even a little bit of a drop in demand for diesel (yes yes it is a LITTLE but you start somewhere) those of you that need to run diesel will hopefully see lower prices. We also do it because it is something that my son and I are able to work on together. Some father and son time. Nothing like dad and son getting all dirty and doing guy things. Experimenting..... it is fun and you certainly learn a lot. |

I would be interested in this location. That is not too far off the path as he would drive through Gallipolis. It is great to hear about all of these locations! |

I still don't understand how you all find veg oil so easily....and in such quantity....around here its quite difficult to find....if at all.
