need source for biodiesel safe injector return lines

The less than 2 years old 1/8 injector return lines from NAPA got soft after 1/2 tank of biodiesel and one of them developed a bad leak spewing precious fuel. I know SAE J30 R9 is bio compatible but they do not come in 1/8" i.d. afaik. Please post what and where I can buy some. It is too cumbersome to search on this phone and I won't be near a puter for a few days. TIA.

Just get the OEM brand they should hold up fine. IIRC return lines are a yearly maintenance item per FSM

Another link:

Fryerpower. I just bought some of their viton line for my diesels. The factory stuff lasts less than a year before biodiesel begins oozing right through the material.

McMaster-Carr sells 1/8" Viton hose. That's where I got mine.

Alternatively Ace Hardware sells a peach colored 1/8" synthetic fuel line intended for weedeaters and chainsaws. It holds up to biodiesel just fine but looses its shape when heated. You'll develop a leak in no time unless you find some sort of small hose clamps.

Just talked to NAPA. The hose that leaked is 1/8 i.d. 1/4 o.d., has a Nitrile inner core and Hypalon outer sheath. It is SAE 30 R6 & R7, rated for gasahol and diesel. 50 psi. I cut the hose in half lengthwise to have a better look. The inner core seems to be intact for the most part but there was a small puncture. The outer hypalon sheath has turned soft like cheese.
SAE 30 R9 has a Viton core, unfortunately the smallest i.d. available is 1/4

Try the truck air brake line 1/4" . Cut to the right length with a safty razor blade then just warm the ends up in hot water and shove them on.

Interesting! I must admit I do not know anything about truck air brake lines. What material are they made of? Are they 1/4" o.d. and 1/8" i.d.? And have you actually used it in your benze as return lines for biodiesel? How long have they been in and how are they holding up?

Not sure of the exact material, possibly a high density polyethylene/nylon. I used it on a 240D that my wife had and on my 2.4L TD Lincoln MKVII. The id of the line is .160
Don't know how there are holding on the 240, sold it a few years ago but the Lincoln is going on 4 years now.

And you have been running biodiesel on these truck air brake lines as injector return lines for 4 years without problems?

I ordered 4 ft of the Viton lines from Fryerpower for $17 for now. How much are the truck air brake lines? Are they straight or coiled? Do you have a link? Thanks!
