Never heard of any four wheel vehicle being dipped--I hear it always seems to be the big trucks. I make biodiesel and store the finished fuel in an old home heating fuel tank that had lots of red dye residue on the side walls. So my fuel is pink, amber really--probably always will be. So come on, lawman, come and get me! Just kidding. As a matter of propriety, you shouldn't drive on untaxed fuel. JMHO.

As a matter of expediency one should not drive on obviously untaxed fuel.

Been driving diesels in Nevada for three years. Never been dipped.

I've never been stopped in 8 months, nor seen, nor heard of any such roadblock. OTOH, ever-higher fuel prices might create the incentive to start dipping cars that were never dipped before. If I were going to drive on pink fuel I'd at least pry the "DIESEL" emblem off the trunk lid.

I've been dipped twice while out test driving trucks after repairs, but never in my car.

They don't need to if you drive through a checkpoint or there is probable cause.
