Injector return lines for Biodiesel?
 

Does anyone have suggestions for replacing the injector return lines when using biodiesel? I've been running up to B100 lately, and it has taken it's toll on the rubber/braided covered injector return lines.

I have all new synthetic fuel lines everywhere else, but haven't found a good substitute for the looped return lines.

What are you other biodieselers doing for injector return lines?

I used Viton lines, they are awesome a little spendy but fit just like stock.

Where, what size?
 

What size viton lines (OD & ID) are you using, and where did you get them?

I just replace the cloth lines every so often. In my experience the viton lines get hard with biodiesel use.

i buy new oem lines and replace them as needed like jason 15 min and you are done. have been running b100 for 6 years and replaced them only once.

Likewise... I had to do them once on my TDI (it uses the same line). But, I don't use B100 all that often, usually just B20 or B10.

I just bought from Jim and shipping was included i what seemed to be a reasonable price to me got plenty of return line and the o rings for the injection pump elements and the tank strainer. Don

I noticed the age of your car and couldn't help but wonder if old age wasn't hard on your lines. I didn't use biodiesel in mine, but yet at the same age had to replace the lines. Since I replaced the lines I have used a lot of biodiesel (B20) and have had no problem with the OEM replacements I put on.

you can get weedwacker fuel line at any REAL hardware store for about $1/ft. it is clear line, works great. may not look right to some, but they can use something el$e.
I think 3/16 fits well.

Hi, can someone please tell me if replacing these lines is a quick job? How do you pull the return line off injector? It seems like it's straight forward but I don't want to learn on my mistakes ;)

Its very easy. You pull the old line off and push the new line on. The nipples on the injectors have a barb that holds the line on.
